We are extremely lucky in the grandparent department. The girls adore all four of their grandparents, which is great for all involved, especially Jim and me as of late, because the grandparents have graciously lent a hand watching P & S for our recent child-free exploits.
In late January, I went south for a business training in Monterey. Gramma Rotzie came to town, helping in all aspects of twin-care and leaving behind scads of new wooden and recycled toys (see kitchen above), new Keen shoes, and a week's worth of home-cooked meals for us! We can't say enough how much we appreciate your generosity Gramma, especially flying up here to spend time with Paige and Sky, who loved seeing you.
Meanwhile I was doing this when I wasn't in a windowless room listening to lectures and viewing bad overhead slides (yes OVERHEAD slides):
Then, this week, my parents arrived, and Jim and I headed to Portland for a night to see Wilco, one of our favorite bands. The show was amazing, we stayed in the very fine Hotel Modera (hotelmodera.com) and slept in until 9:00 the next morning...heaven! All went well at home and again, I just can't thank Gramma Mary and Papa Mike enough for their willingness to handle all things P & S while we parents grabbed some adult time.
It's wonderful that my girls are growing up knowing their grandparents and spending quality time with all of them. We love you all!
